The opportunity
We’re looking for an Accounting Intern to join our growing Accounting team in Denton, Texas. This is a hands-on opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world experience in accounting, billing, accounts payable and financial operations.
What you’ll learn and support
- Assist with monitoring and organizing the accounting inbox and responding to internal requests.
- Gain hands-on experience with customer invoicing, billing and account reconciliation.
- Assist with reviewing and processing vendor bills and identifying billing discrepancies.
- Help research and resolve invoice exceptions and missing documentation.
- Assist with maintaining and updating standard operating procedures for accounting processes.
- Support the team with reviewing outstanding vendor bills and following up on required documentation.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding billing and accounting questions.
- Learn how accounting controls, policies and documentation standards are applied in a growing organization.
What we look for
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027.
- Previous accounting, finance, billing or internship experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and ask questions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in developing a career in accounting or finance.
Work environment
- Denton, Texas.
- At least 20 hours per week.
- Onsite position.
